Pompeii : Guide to the Lost City

True to its title, this is, effectively, a guidebook to the remains of the city of Pompeii. Intellectually unchallenging perhaps but very attractive, informative, to-the-point and probably a little more flowing in style than the translated guidebooks available in Pompeii. Wall-to-wall colour photos, magnificent colour reconstructions, plenty of sensible text and nice commentaries on the frescoes.
