For years, people have been asking for the biography of Paul Poberezny...and for good reason. It is because of his leadership and tenacity that sport and general aviation has opened its doors to hundreds of thousands of people all over the world-people who might never have experienced the spirit of flight had this man not started-and nurtured-what has become the internationally successful, Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). It includes 300 drawings and photographs (many from their private collection), and is full of anecdotes and stories from those early years. Told in their own words and taken from writings from that time, the story leads the reader from the couple's modest beginnings into the formation of the EAA and up to the point at which this volunteer project began to consume their very being.
