Drawing on interviews with 126 participants associated with the Pilchuck Glass School (in Washington State) during its 25-year history, the author documents its development and growth from a makeshift workshop of tents and treehouses to a comprehensive center for artists working in glass. The narrative is enhanced with an abundance of photos showing the location, the people, and the wide variety of glass art created there.
