The Peace Carpet is a story in children's and young people's literature. It carries the symbol in the short story and the message addressed to the child. The characters of Luqman, the hero of the story, and his family are fictional characters inspired by the writer, and the diaries of the child Luqman are also fictional diaries, linked to achieve integration with a reality closer to the truth in the Bamyan Valley in Afghanistan, inspired by the work done by carpet weavers in Afghanistan, who weave the peace carpet. The real one, which is considered the most important carpet in the world, was presented by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan - may God protect him - to His Holiness Pope Francis during his visit to the Vatican in September 2016.This is part of the Sheikha Fatima bint Mohammed bin Zayed Sustainable Development Project, which provides work for Afghan women skilled in carpet weaving. The project also provides education for the children of working women in a sustainable humanitarian process of education and work.
