Painkiller : Hell & Damnation(for Xbox 360)

A single-player/multiplayer first-person shooter video game for the Xbox 360 console, Painkiller : Hell & Damnation has been developed by The Farm 51 and published by Nordic Games GmbH. This game serves as a sequel to and is a remake of Painkiller. Rated 18 by PEGI, the storyline of Painkiller : Hell & Damnation follows Daniel Garner, who after vanquishing the forces of Purgatory and Hell in the first installment wasn’t given the opportunity to meet Catherine, his wife. In despair, he returns to the cemetery where his journey of biblical proportions began. At the cemetery, Death appears and offers him a new deal which involves him collecting 7000 souls in exchange for a reunion with his wife. Daniel grudgingly accepts the deal and receives the Soulcatcher gun to ensue his perilous voyage. He now has to battle legions of demons and horrendous monsters in order to get a glimpse of his wife. The gameplay of Painkiller : Hell & Damnation involves the player making his way through the linear levels by obliterating countless demons. The game has been divided into many chapters and each respective chapter has many levels. Every level has a new location with monasteries, graveyards, castles and more. Classic weapons like the Painkiller, the shotgun, the stakethrower and the electrodriver; new guns like the Soulcatcher which fires saw blades in primary firing mode and drains the souls out of enemies in secondary firing mode are available as well. Furthermore, many multiplayer modes have been added to this game. Two players can play the whole Single-player Campaign as well, though the difficulty level varies when 2 players are in-game; either the HP given to each player decreases or the number of enemies that the players have to confront increase. Up to 8 players can take part in Survival Mode in the limited area of a map; multitudes of enemies will swamp the players on the map. Other PvP game modes include Capture The Flag, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Duels.
