Directed by Scott Cooper and starring Academy Award-winner Christian Bale of The Dark Knight fame, Academy Award-nominee Woody Harrelson (plays the leading role in True Detective), Casey Affleck and Golden Globe Award-winner Forest Whitaker, Out of the Furnace is a crime-drama thriller film. The storyline of this fascinating film follows Russell Baze, a man who performs manual labour for a living, whose brother, Rodney Baze, gets involved with a vicious crime ring after returning from Iraq where he served in the army. After finding out that the police can’t solve the missing case, Russell decides to take matters into his own hands and sets out to find his dear brother.
