pp: 136. FIRST EDITION. Includes 111 illustrations, of which 9 are full colour plates. Photography by Yukio Futagawa. The location of each photograph is noted. Many are full size. A volume in the series published under the general title of 'Masters of Modern Architecture'. Niemeyer is considered the best known and most important South American architect of the twentieth century. He was a leader in the creation of Brasilia, the new capital city of Brazil carved out of the jungle. This is a very good copy with light shelf wear. The jacket has moderate soiling and light edge wear. To prevent further soiling or damage, the jacket is protected with a Brodart cover.
