When he was a young man, he traveled to Spain to study the art of painting. He instantly became fascinated by the culture and honed his skills in fashion design. One of his earliest jobs was working for Cristobal Balenciaga. He saw great success in the fashion industry in the 1980s and 90s, and he launched his brand’s first fragrance in 1977.
