Original Sin(Blu-ray English)

Original Sin is set in the early 1900's where a young man life is turned upside down by the appearance of a femme fatale whose always seemed to escape his grasp. This thrilling movie is a remake of the 1969 film Mississippi Mermaid by Francois Truffaut. Original Sin is based on a novel Waltz into Darkness by Cornell Woolrich and directed by Michael Cristofer who also wrote the screenplay. Antonio Banderas plays the handsome young Luis Antonio Vargas, who loses his way when he falls deeply in love with Julia Russell who is played by the stunning Angelina Jolie. Luis Vargas, a wealthy Cuban businessman has Miss Russell travel to his country in order to be his bride. On meeting Julia, he realizes that she is not the same person that was in the photo that was sent prior to the voyage. Julia plunges Luis into a life of deceit and ruins his life by stealing his money and breaking his heart over and over again.
