This unique book is a photo retrospective of the greater Columbia County area featuring more than 400 pictures and spanning almost 100 years. The lively and rich history of this lovely area of North Florida is told in unique and captivating photos for the years between the late 1800s and 1970. It is an era during which the relaxed and traditional ways of Old Florida were enjoyed to the full, and the changing face of New Florida had not yet emerged. This book would not have been possible without the excellent photo archives and help of local historian Morris Williams, and the gracious support and hospitality of the Lake City-Columbia County Historical Museum.
