Written in Italian, this is an entertaining, intelligent and very well-written mystery story set his in 1895, namely immediately following the death (then revoked) of Sherlock Holmes in the last story of The Adventures and Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes. Instead of being the murderer, the butler is the victim, his body found in a cellar that has been bolted from the inside. The police inspector who leads the investigations is Sicilian and loves good food. A great mystery by a popular Italian mystery writer.
