This was published in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Harlan Estate. Harlan Estate is a California wine estate producing Bordeaux style blends. The estate is located on the west hills of Oakville, California . Harlan Estate has been described as "the ultimate cult winery", with its limited availability, prices and status akin to those of Screaming Eagle. In addition to the estate wine, there is produced a second wine named The Maiden. The Wine Advocate Magazine said ""Harlan Estate might be the single most profound red wine made not just in California, but in the world." Along with its beautiful photography and drawings, the book includes a history of the land, the forest management, how the winery was built and how it has changed, the owner's philosophy, the art of its labels, the culture of wine, their vintages and much more. This is a beautiful, poetic book.
