Ninety-Two in the Shade

The central character in this novel, Thomas Skelton, is a refugee from the world of drug addicts and misfits. He goes home to Key West which itself turns out to be an alien world - torrid, hostile and grotesque. The author has also written "The Sporting Club", "The Bushwacked Piano" and "Panama".
