   Description
Nancy Tichborne's art skills were recognised when she was at college in Dunedin, where she was awarded a scholarship to St Martins School of Art in London in the 1960s. Subsequently she worked as a fashion illustrator in Hong Kong and after returning to NZ in '70s she, with her two sisters, compiled five books on cooking and gardens. The garden theme continues with her exceptional "Nancy Tichborne's Flowers" which presents magnificent full-colour floral studies, the four sections representing the seasons. This beautiful book, in all aspects, has become scare, particularly in this original hard back format. 120 pages, Formal text is brief and bright, with the paintings, which appear througout --- several being double page spreads --- having extended captions. There is an index of paintings and the e/papers also feature her full colour art.
