The MY VALENTINE linocut illustrations are perfect for print projects such as logos, apparel, posters or product packaging as well as online applications to enhance your website, social media or promotions. CREATING HAND-CARVED DIGITAL ILLUSTRATIONS Each linocut illustration begins with a drawing on linoleum or a carving block. The image is hand-carved using traditional linocut tools. The next step the best part involves printing the linocut on paper to reveal its unique graphic quality. We use non-toxic water soluble inks for printing. The print is then scanned to create a digital file. Once the image is digitized we are able to enhance it using Photoshop and Illustrator. This technique allows us to play with colour, add text and fine-tune the illustration while maintaining its handmade character. We always include transparent background PNG files as well as Illustrator 10 EPS vector files.
