"My Life As A Maryland Lawman" details the dream of becoming a Maryland State Trooper from a boy growing up in rural Western Maryland. It covers the journey to adulthood. Moving away from home and into the big city upon graduating high school to pursue that dream. It follows the author into the police academy, to his first assignments handling a variety of calls, and onto becoming a very competent Criminal Investigator that worked complex criminal cases, including thefts, child abuses, and homicides. Upon retiring as a Trooper, he goes on to form a police department from the ground up and becomes the first Chief of Police for the town where he graduated high school. The book displays the humorous side of law enforcement, as well as the tragic side, adding some historical data along the way.
