Monarchs and Milkweed

The Monarch is North America’s most iconic butterfly and perhaps the most well-known. In recent years, the plight of the monarch has captured our attention and individuals and groups across the continent have been focusing on ways in which they can help this endangered butterfly – principally by growing milkweed and creating Monarch “waystations”. This book sets out how we can all help the Monarch to survive and thrive by creating habitat with host plants and providing food for resident and migrating Monarchs. Along the way, we will be helping other pollinators and wildlife, as well as beautifying our back yards.
