Created by Chuck Lorre (the man behind hilarious sitcoms like Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory), Emmy Award-winner Eddie Gorodetsky and Gemma Baker, Mom is an American comedy TV series that stars 5-time MTV Movie Award-nominee Anna Faris, Allison Janney, Sadie Calvano, Nate Corddry and Matt L. Jones. Mom tells the story of a single mother named Christy Plunkett, who, following an enduring battle with drug abuse and alcoholism, shifts to Napa Valley, California, in hopes of starting a new, sober chapter in her life. Now, working as a waitress and often attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, Christy tries her best to lead a happy life with her family. Bonnie Plunkett (Christy’s recovering alcoholic of a mother), Violet (Christy’s 17-year-old daughter who became a mother in her teens just like Christy) and Roscoe (Christy’s son, a regular marijuana user) are the other members of Christy's family.
