These traditional hand carved jicaritas are made by artisans in Oaxaca Mexico� Jicaras are used all across Mexico to share and enjoy the unique and complex characteristics of mezcal or tequila Each cup is unique in size and design.� They are approximately 3 inches in diameter and 1.5 inches tall and come with a braided natural fiber base.� They will hold 2-3 ounces of liquid depending on size Please note that due to the porous nature of the jicara they will drink with you! Handmade in Oaxaca Mexico � Jicaras are drinking vessels made out of gourds�that come after the calabash fruit is carved out leaving the shell which is hung to dry. The resulting vessel is known as a jicara which is the Spanish word for cup.� Not just for mezcal they�can be used for any kind of beverage�or as a small bowl for serving food.
