Mexico's Regions Comparative History and Development

The reservoir of analytical perspectives in this anthology is both deepened and broadened by the diverse disciplinary approaches and discourse of its contributors, including geography, history, anthropology, sociology, and literature/journalism. This broad interdisciplinary character, however, increases the burden on the reader of piecing together the varied insights and perspectives into larger, integrated questions and issues that provide a framework to interconnect them and infuse them with broader implications. The essays are somewhat mechanically grouped into three theoretical and contemporary perspectives, four broader historical studies, and two commentaries providing a larger vision of regionalitys place in Mexican development.
