In 1980 Pope Paul II and the American Catholic Bishops agreed to accept married Episcopal priests into the Catholic priesthood in a program know as rhw "Pastoral Provisions." While many Catholic priests had left their active ministries for marriage, here the Church made an historically unprecedented invitation to the priesthood for already married priests. This book is the true story of the journey of one such priest as told by his wife. Father Peter Dally married, with four children, an Episcopal priest for thirty years and a vicar for sixteen in Seattle, Washington, was one of the first to apply.
