An exceptional, ready-to-install IM8A-2SW Speaker System, this high-performance loudspeaker is designed for suspended installations and comes complete with an 8A50 8" 50W driver and a 2 cubic foot acoustic enclosure. With its white grille, this speaker system is the perfect solution for high-energy environments with high ceilings such as clubs, bars, sports facilities, hotel ballrooms, transportation terminals, convention centers, and exhibit halls.The 8A50 driver is a robust 8", 50W component, featuring a 20 oz. LF magnet and a 1.4-inch copper voice coil. This powerful combination drives a polypropylene cone with a half-roll rubber surround, ensuring long cone travel and excellent edge damping. The post-mounted tweeter is a 1-inch balanced-drive dome, safeguarded by Ferrofluid and a first-order high-pass filter. A protective steel plate is mounted over the driver to ensure its safety during shipping and installation, and can be removed when mounting the grille.The grille is a square, perforated steel design with a white powder epoxy finish, making it ideal for installations where the speaker is suspended in a tile, sheetrock, or plaster ceiling. Measuring 15.25" square x 0.375", it offers a sleek and modern aesthetic.The 2 cubic foot enclosure is a precision-formed steel structure measuring 23.94" x 18.19" x 8.19". It features anti-vibration ribs, a sound-stop board, and a 1-1/2" thick premium acoustic lining. For secure suspended installation, it includes forged 1/4"-20 eyebolts screwed into mounting nuts (flyware by others). The enclosure also offers externally accessible connections, terminated through a 4" x 4" flush cover plate, and is finished in a sleek black powder epoxy.
