Lowell Manufacturing BME87 Steel Backbox and Mounting Ring, 10" Dia. x 6.69" D

The BME87 kit includes a backbox and mounting ring that creates a blind-mount enclosure to be installed from beneath a drywall or plaster ceiling, when above-ceiling access is not available. Backbox is welded, unitized heavy gauge steel with a foam pad in rear to reduce acoustic/metallic resonance. The cubic volume allows a speaker to operate at a more optimum loading level for improved low frequency response. Includes four combination 1/2" - 3/4" conduit knockouts and four 1/2" wire knockouts. Two welded brackets inside the enclosure mount a variety of torsion grilles for a hardware-free look and tinnerman clips on the flange allow 8-32 screws to mount a standard 8" grille. Finished in black powder epoxy paint.
