The module's phase-lock-loop is equipped with an intuitive LED indicator, which illuminates green to signal a successful horizontal lock and turns red to indicate the absence of a lock.At the heart of the 812-OP/D's functionality is a complex programmable logic device that not only generates all the necessary timing pulses for the other modules but also processes stripped vertical sync and field identification pulses. This meticulous processing ensures that the output pulses are perfectly timed and phased with the incoming video signal.Additionally, the 812-OP/D module boasts a video presence detector, which plays a pivotal role in determining whether the module operates in genlock or free-run mode. The bicolor LED serves as a video presence indicator, glowing green when video is detected and turning red when absent. In the event of no video input, the module seamlessly transitions to a free-run frequency condition, with a front panel control available to adjust the VCXO's DC voltage, thereby altering the frequency of the 27 MHz oscillator.The module offers flexible reference source selection through three distinct methods: automatic switching to an internal reference source in the absence of video, manual switching via the front panel AUTO/INT control, or by applying video with the AUTO/INT switch set to AUTO mode for proper genlock operation. When operating on its internal oscillator, the module's front panel yellow LED indicator lights up, signifying that it is free-running.Furthermore, the 812-OP/D integrates seamlessly with the 812-OP/C genlock module and the PCO-818 automatic pulse change-over modules, which can function independently or in synchronized operation.
