Have you ever struggled to achieve the light and bright, film look without having to invest $$$ in actual film?? I did! For years, I struggled to create a signature look with my digital RAW images. I wanted to shoot film, but because of the crazy cost of film these days, I couldn't justify making the switch in my equipment. Finally after years of frustration, I created my own Light & Airy Film Preset , to help myself and other photographer achieve those beautiful, "glowy" images that I've always wanted!!! These presets are compatible with Lightroom CS4-6 & Creative Cloud Version. ___ Instant Download for Lightroom CS4-6 & Creative Cloud Version Compatible with PC & Mac ___ Best Camera Settings For This Style I would recommend using the lowest settings possible, preferably selecting a lens that supports f/1.4-f/2.0. My most common setting for the images above are f/1.4, ISO 200. All of the sample images above were shot with a Nikon d750 and an 85mm lens at 1.4 or 2.0. I shoot with auto white balance as well. When I meter in camera, I find that underexposing my 1-2 stops works best for these presets. This way, you can preserve the highlights as best as possible which is key to emulating film while still having a light & airy feel to your overall look! EDITING TIPS Your camera model, camera settings, locations, and lighting all play a major part in your final pictures! They might require a few personal tweaks, such as adjusting exposure or white balance to fit your individual needs and the way in which your camera reads color. This is the nature of presets and is completely normal : To best emulate film, focus on the skin tones when looking at your edits. Look for clean color and light so avoid any harsh color casts on your subjects. The way you position your subject in regards to your light source is key to achieve this dreamy, light and bright look for your edits.
