This book is an effort to rethink in a more critical way our democratic tradition. The free and trusted elections are a relative new phenomenon, the representative structure is older. We know so much about elections that had place in the colony between 1809 and 1821 that from some of the actual national period. This book is a view of how Mexican democracy begun to be perceived in those years.
