On the occasion of this reissue, I made quite a few changes to The Pursuit of Happiness. This is the first time that I am modifying an already published book; it was very tempting. In real life, we would like to be able to do this kind of thing: relive certain moments by modifying the circumstances, the gestures, the words spoken; escape in one way or another from the irreversible. On the other hand, I hardly touched Stay alive. Not that this book seems perfect to me, far from it; but, with its compact and collected side, it reminds me quite a projectile. Let's say we don't really want to go into details.
