For this Lebaran, we’ve taken our "Nastar Tan Ta" journey even further. We wanted to explore something truly unique, and that’s when we discovered Klepon, a beloved traditional Indonesian cake. Intrigued by its delightful taste and vibrant green color, we couldn’t resist bringing this flavor to life in our "Nastar Klepon". Just like the classic Nastar, it has the same buttery, crusty exterior, but with a twist. The shell is infused with the fresh green hue of pandan, an iconic Indonesian leaf, while the filling boasts the sweet richness of Gula Melaka (or Gula Merah), a deep caramel-like palm sugar, just like the traditional Klepon.

Our Story :
My journey began when I studied baking and pastry arts in Taiwan, immersing myself in the rich traditions and techniques of Taiwanese desserts. I returned to Indonesia with a dream to bring those unique tastes closer to home. But, what is uniquely Taiwanese, yet still relatable to Indonesia?
"TanTa" - just like the meaning of word - is the "tasty answer". It blends Indonesia's cherished pineapple filling with Taiwan's delicate pastry-making. Every bite tells a story of craftsmanship, passion, and the blending of cultures.
"TanTa" is also a combination of my parents' names, honoring the love and support that made this journey possible.
