KitsGuru Capacitors in series and parallel LGSK033 Educational Electronic Hobby Kit

The circuit can be used to demonstrate the concept of capacitor in series and parallel. If they are connected in series the overall capacitance gets decreased and if connected in parallel, the overall capacitance gets increased. To see the increase or decrease in the values of capacitance we have used to concept of 'Time Constant' of a capacitor. Time constant represents the time taken by the capacitor to charge/ discharge. Different switches are used here connecte the capacitors in series or parallel. We can see the the discharging time time of the capacitor increases if the capacitance increases and vice versa.
