Drop forged Turnbuckles have a higher tensile strength making them stronger and less likely to fracture than the formed turnbuckles. What’s the Difference between Hot Dipped Galvanized & Electroplated or galvanized? The majority of the turnbuckles sold are electroplated which is less expensive to manufacture but has a much thinner coating process. Hot dipped Galvanized coatings are up to 10x as thick and will always greatly outlast zinc electroplating in any environment.
