Now that Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity is founded on the campus of Cornell University, the seven founders look to expand their new brotherhood to new campuses. The search begins for Negro students who are worthy to carry the aims and meaning of the fraternity. After several campuses are investigated, it was decided that Howard University in Washington, DC and Virginia Union University in Richmond, VA would be the next campuses to expand to. This is the story of the chartering of Beta and Gamma Chapters of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Appearances also by the founders of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority as they were Howard University students at this time and organizing the founding of the first collegiate sorority for Negro women.
