The JET® JWL-1015 10-Inch by 15-Inch Wood Lathe is user friendly for a beginner wood turner, while still versatile enough for an experienced user or a professional. It features 15-1/2 inches of space between its centers to accommodate different types of objects and projects. The Jet lathe's spindle has six different speeds including 500, 840, 1240, 1800, 2630 and 3975, giving you the versatility needed to complete a wide range of tasks. There is 24-position indexing capability integrated into the tool so that you can turn your object to just the right orientation. The Jet wood lathe's tensioning system has been enhanced and gives you more convenient access to belts for more precision. Its bed ways have an increased width to give you more rigidity and stability. The tail stock of the variable speed lathe has a live center for better gripping.
