In the Shadow of the Queen Paperback

The place is an Italian neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. The time is the mid-nineteen sixties and seventies. The players are young boys growing up and coming of age influenced by the times, the Roman Catholic Church, and the criminal presence in the neighborhood. It is a story of youth’s innocence and its loss, of a father’s love for his son, and of the birth of friendships and their lasting bonds.
