How does a stove fan work？ The stove fan operate without batteries cords or electricity and it relying on heat from the stove external to generate its own power. The fan base transfers heat to the generator set which converts heat into kinetic energy to drive the motor and the blades rotate. The stove fan is designed for usage on freestanding stoves with a normal external temperature of between 122ºF - 662ºF. Temperatures above this range may damage the fan and the electricity generating units.
