Introduction: The MPU-6000 is the world's first integrated 6-axis motion processing component. Compared to the multi-component solution, the MPU-6000 eliminates the problem of inter-axis difference when combining gyroscopes and accelerators, reducing the amount of packaging space. The MPU-6000 integrates a 3-axis gyroscope, a 3-axis accelerator, and includes a digital motion processor (DMP) hardware acceleration that can be connected to other brands of accelerators, magnetic sensors, or other sensors via a second I2C port. The engine, from the main I2C port, outputs a complete 9-axis fusion algorithm to the application in the form of a single data stream. InvenSense's motion processing database handles complex data for motion sensing, reduces the load on the operating system for motion processing operations, and provides an architected API for application development. The MPU-6000's angular vel0city full-range sensing is 250, 500, 1000 and 2000/sec (dps) which accurately tracks fast and slow motion, and the user-programmable accelerator feels full sense.
