Hemingway in Spain;: A personal reminiscence of Hemingway's years in Spain by his friend

The author details his time with Ernest Hemingway in Spain, from bullfights in Pamplona to picnicking in the countryside. It is an intimate look at the importance of Spain in the life of a great artist. Hemingway first visited Spain in the 1920s and Spanish bull fighting as well as the later Spanish Civil War were subjects of some of his greatest pieces of writing. He returned in the early 1950s when he met Spanish author (and author of this work) Jose Luis Castillo-Puche, whose novel "With Death On My Back" he highly praised.
