Greate Buffaloe Swamp
Описание
In the late 1700's, the word “swamp” then did not mean what it does today, but then signified an area of heavy tree growth, which incidentally might have wet areas, but the most important condition was that it was little known or traversed. This well described the area of central and north-central Pennsylvania at that time. "Greate Buffaloe Swamp" gives insight and history about the region, from describing the paths followed by indians which later became the routes used by early settlers in the region, to the towns and industries the boomed and busted along these routes.
