Glacier: The Story Behind the Scenery

Glacier National Park presents one of the most prime forces that formed this planet--glaciation. Enjoy the flowered meadows and the green terraced slopes. But, it is the dramatic carving of rock that we see here as a great force of nature. Glacier National Park, located in northwestern Montana on the Canadian border, was established in 1910. Canada and the United States expanded the National Park concept in 1932, when they formed Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park.
