Gilson Asphalt Diamond Coring Bits CDA-230 3in Asphalt Core Drill Bit (Open-Head) is used with electric or gasoline-powered Core Drills to obtain drilled asphalt cores for evaluation and laboratory testing. The bit requires a properly sized Expander Set for Open-Head Asphalt Coring Bits for attachment to the drilling machine. It performs well in high-output heavy-use applications and can be refurbished when worn. Diamond Coring Bits are designed for wet-use with asphalt and are fast-cutting when used as designed. The 14in (356mm) length enables cutting cores up to 13in (330mm) long. Final core diameter is approximately 0.25in (6.4mm) smaller than nominal outside diameter.
