George Lodge. Artist Naturalist

A collection of color and black & white works by the British bird and wildlife artist and naturalist George Edward Lodge (1860-1954). This work includes a series of biographical essays concerning Mr. Lodge by various authors. His illustrations graced many books, but his work was under-appreciated, in the view of the editor. --- In textured grey paper-covered boards, with gilt-stamped spine titling. Jacket features color Lodge painting of cock capercaillie.
