The GefenToolBox High Definition 1080p Scaler allows you to upscale or downscale one HDMI or DVI input to one HDMI output with 1080p Full HD and Deep Color. This unit can improve the quality of the image if your display has an inexpensive built-in scaler. This is done by outputting the video set to the native resolution of the display, bypassing the display's internal scaler to assure the best quality video possible. This unit will automatically detect your display's max resolution and scale any input resolution without any further adjustments. Video can also be manually scaled up and down in all resolutions up to 1080p Full HD. This product can also be used to downscale, making it ideal for distributing a Hi-Def signal to multiple displays that do not support the same max resolutions in a matrix for HDMI system. How It Works Simply connect the GefenToolBox High Definition1080p Scaler to your lowest resolution display and all other connected displays can receive 1080p full HD video. Select the audio input by using the front panel switch on the unit or by using the included IR remote control. The GefenToolBox High Definition 1080p Scaler is conveniently wallmountable so it can be easily installed behind the display. It offers RS-232 control and is field upgradeable. When not in use, this new Scaler will automatically go into standby mode to prevent excessive power consumption.
