Gaviscon Double Action contains 500mg Sodium alginate, 213mg Sodium bicarbonate, 325mg Calcium carbonate per 10 ml. Gaviscon Double Action gives you 2x longer relief than regular antacids by utilising more calcium carbonate with higher levels of antacids. The antacid component in Gaviscon Double Action neutralises excess acid secretion of the stomach and helps in relieving the discomfort. The sodium Alginate extracted from the sea weed forms a protective barrier over the stomach and soothe the burning sensation in the chest and prevent reflux. Shake well before use. Adults and children over 12 years: take 10-20ml (two to four 5ml spoonfuls) after meals and at a bedtime, up to four times a day.
