Galacide is a new breed of SHMUP, combining fast-paced action from classic shooters with the quick-thinking tactics of puzzlers. The only weapon at your disposal is your ship, a formidable vessel with unique features and abilities. Go it alone or assemble a squad of friends. Your mission is to cull the invasion and save the galaxy. As opposed to the traditional "Shoot 'Em Up" genre of just space-faring ships obliterating thousands of enemies, Galacide includes a popular match-4 mechanic from puzzle games. While piloting, you must carefully strike a balance between destroying enemy ships and turrets, and placing pieces correctly to clear your path.
