From the front flap of this 86 page book: "Wladyslaw Pawelec is a Polish photographer, working in Warsaw. He is most unique because he specializes in extremely provocative and oftentimes highly erotic photography of women. While this speciality occurs often in the West, behind the Iron Curtain this is a rare vocation indeed. Also immediately noticeable is the rare beauty of his models. Perhaps not what one would expect from an older Polish photographer, with no access to model agencies or professional models. A gentleman of 62 years, his work is all the more interesting, for at his age, he is capable of creating the intimate contact necessary with beautiful young models to create photography of a very sensitive and insightful nature." Pawelec writes: "The thing about photography which interests me is the chance to reflect the private, secret and intimate world of my models on film. This is difficult but very rewarding work. For many years, I tried to blend my work with my hobby. I think I have succeeded in doing this with creative photography. For this, passion is an absolute necessity. For me, it is very difficult to make a good photograph. Not for lack of talent. You see, in my work, I don't report as in recording a moment which happens. I interpret my subject rather than find it. Because I am rarely satisfied with reality, I rearrange each element until the image is as near to perfect as possible."
