This publication is a history of the General Daniel "Chappie" James Jr. Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. It begins by reviewing the military's racist policies for training and utilization of blacks prior to WWII. It discusses actions just at the start of WWII, during WWII and immediately following the war. In addition to general application of President Truman's Executive OPrder 9981, the book flows into the bibliographies of chapter members.
