Flow Cytometry (2nd ed.) is an updated edition which was first publish ed in 1994. It provides and introduction for those new to the field of flow cytometry. It explores the concepts underlying the instrumentati on and uses of flow cytometry in the laboratory. It is a practical gui de to the use and applications of flow cytometry. The book discusses t he common applications of the technique and gives a brief overview of the many other applications in the study of mammalian cell biology. Th is new edition will include chapters on clinical applications of the t echnique and the use of flow cytometry to study apoptosis.
