FOREVER YOUNG, JACQUES OLIVAR

Jacques Oliver, born in Casablanca in 1941, was a nomadic advertising photographer and film director before he took up fashion photography at the age of 46. Adventure and cinema remain integral elements to his unique style. This collection follows a series of stunning young women across the USA and beyond. Each location--whether phone booth or gas station--is a pit stop on the road to a brighter future. And although transient, these beauties leave their indelible mark on their landscape. Where do their journeys lead? No one can tell. Yet, the mounting tension draws us in. These hard-edged portraits are still able to maintain a certain innocence. It's that classic fantasy of American youth: they are restless, ever hopeful, and they won't give up being--forever young.
