FIFA 12 is a single-player/multiplayer football simulation game for the Xbox 360 console. The nineteenth installment in EA’s FIFA series of football video games, FIFA 12 was developed by EA Canada and published by Electronic Arts. This game received a score of 9.5 out of 10 from IGN and 9 out of 10 from Eurogamer. This game was rated 3 by PEGI. In order to produce real-world physicality in all interactions on the various pitches, the Player Impact Engine, a new physics engine, has been incorporated in this game. Players are more resilient now as they pull and push when battling for possession of the ball, recover from light stumbles more quickly while preserving their natural momentum. By using close dribble touches, players will have more time to make decisions when handling the ball. A redesigned defending mechanism ensures that innovations in attack are balanced. The new Tactical Defending feature makes defending as strategic as attacking; this feature essentially alters the approach to defending by giving equal importance to intercepting passes, positioning and tackling. In Career Mode, the Player Impact Engine assesses the contact between players to detect injuries accurately. CPU players now make intelligent decisions as they have been granted aptitude and self-awareness. Players make choices based on the attributes and strengths of their teammates and their own skills as well. Furthermore, players change their attacking strategies based on the flaws of the opposition. In FIFA 12, the crowds have been made more authentic, the lighting has been improved and a new default camera has been introduced as well. Navigation is much more easier now as the menu system has been redesigned. Lastly, more than 500 licensed clubs and over 15,000 players have been featured in this game.
