Ever the Land [first edition]

This historical chronicle (non-fiction) traces the life of young Pehr through his youth in the 1800’s, marriage, parenthood and tenant farming in Sweden; then his emigration to America and homesteading in Minnesota. Multifarious simple joys and woes, and one deep constant sorrow accompany Pehr to his grave in 1914.
