Different Gospels (A C.S.Lewis Centre Book)

This book identifies the undermining of the apostolic faith by the relativism, subjectivism and rationalism of "modernist" thinkers and theologians. It provides interviews with leading churchmen - evangelical, Catholic, Orthodox and Anglican - who reflect on the state of the Church. Modernist theories and methodologies are analysed and the book contains a vigorous defence of Christian doctrine, the historical basis of the New Testament and the reality of the miracles. The relationship between the Christian faith, freedom and modernity is examined, and the author asserts that the threat comes not only from modernism but also from the individualistic, materialistic nature of modern life. The author has also written "Enemy Territory" and "Restoring the Kingdom".
